Name obtained from granddaughter Ann Eliza's obituary. Per Corunna Journal, he enlisted as a private at Westerly, RI in May 1771 and fought under Washington for 2 years in the Revolutionary War. Birth/death dates from OWT. Birth date conflicts with the enlistment date from the obit. However, daughter Lydia from One World Tree is verified as being married to Jared Crandall, so assumed George Champlin is the same.
George married Lydia BERRY, daughter of Elijah BERRY and Dinah SAUNDERS. (Lydia BERRY was born on 9 Mar 1769 in Westerly, RI and died on 17 Jul 1855 in De Ruyter, NY.)
